A self-appointed “Ambassador of Fun” with over 29 years in graphic design, advertising, and printing related businesses, including 15+ years as an Art Director.
Experienced (meaning old) enough to have actually used a T-square and a black & white monitor, yet hip enough to realize the power of a good tweet. (Does using the word hip negate being hip?) Agency, corporate, and freelance experience has provided me with different perspectives and a wide variety of clients and life lessons.
Big Ideas with edge or humor are my passion, building a great relationship with the client is my commitment. All while trying not to take myself or life too seriously.
Influences: Darrin Stevens; my very large family; being raised in the midwest; art history (abstract expressionism, pop art); Paul Rand; 90s music; Family Guy; disappointment; Saul Bass; I’m With Stupid t-shirts; “Life isn’t fair”; sports and competition; and last but not least, sometimes there is no accounting for taste.
